Janette Hales Beckham: Relief Society General President (1930–2023)

Janette Hales Beckham (1930–2023) served as the twelfth Relief Society General President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1990 to 1997, leading the Lord's organization for women in a season of renewed focus on compassionate service and gospel teaching. Sister Beckham had earlier served in the Young Women General Presidency and brought to her calling a lifetime of faithful service in the stakes of Zion. Her life is a faith-promoting witness of the women the Lord raises up to lead His daughters and to carry forward the work of Relief Society—faith, family, relief.
