Donald Beauregard: A Utah Latter-day Saint Artist of the Paris 'Art Missionaries' (1884–1914)

Donald Beauregard (1884–1914) was born in Fillmore, Utah, to Mormon immigrant ranchers, and grew up an energetic and enthusiastic lover of nature and art. In 1906 he was among the young Utah Latter-day Saint artists sent by the Church to study in Paris—the so-called 'art missionaries'—whose gifts were consecrated to beautifying the Lord's temples and the civic life of the Saints. Brother Beauregard's life is a faith-promoting witness of the Saints who, in the early twentieth century, began to consecrate the gifts of art and beauty to the building up of Zion.
