Delanah Thomas Baxter: A Faithful Early Convert of the Canadian Mission

Delanah Thomas Baxter was among the early Latter-day Saint converts of Leeds County, Ontario (Upper Canada), who emigrated to Utah. One of the early Canadian Saints who heard the restored gospel in the 1830s and gathered with the Saints, she is remembered among the faithful women whose conversion and emigration helped build up the Church in its first generation. Sister Baxter's life is a faith-promoting witness of the Canadian Saints of the early mission—the first fruits of the gospel beyond the United States—who gave up their homes in a new land to gather to Zion.
