Algie Eggertsen Ballif: A Latter-day Saint Educator and Public Servant (1896–1984)

Algie Eggertsen Ballif (3 May 1896 – 11 July 1984) was a Latter-day Saint educational leader and public servant in Utah. A 1918 graduate of Brigham Young University and a member of the Provo community, she served from 1959 to 1961 in Utah state public service, devoting her life to the improvement of education in her state. With her husband George S. Ballif she raised a faithful family whose papers are preserved at the University of Utah. Sister Ballif's life is a faith-promoting witness of a Latter-day Saint woman who carried both her faith and her learning into public life for the good of her community.
