LDS Witness Archive
Martha Ann Roberts was born February 20, 1843, in Wales. At sixteen she joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—the only member of her family to embrace the restored gospel. She emigrated as an early pioneer to Utah and, on January 12, 1865, married Charles Dennis Arbon. Her life is a quiet testimony of the courage of the early Welsh converts who left family and homeland for the gospel's sake, gathered with the Saints, and built Zion in the western valleys. She died January 29, 1911.
