Marsena Cannon was a Boston daguerreotypist whose 1844 vision of the man who would bring him the gospel was fulfilled when Elder Eli P. Maginn arrived soon after; he crossed the plains with the Wilford Woodruff company in 1850 and was called in 1861 to the Cotton Mission at St. George, where remarkable providences sustained his family. The LDS Witness archive holds 3 documented accounts involving Marsena Cannon — including Visions, Protection & Deliverance, Power of Prayer, spanning the 1840s through the 1860s, in United States — each one a documented experience of divine power.
