A young woman of about seventeen years, living in Koenigsberg, was convinced of the truth of the Gospel upon hearing it. Her parents were initially determinedly opposed to her becoming a 'Mormon' and pressured her to leave home. She remained steadfast, was baptized, and subsequently bore her testimony to her parents, who later joined the Church.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 63, No. 17 (25 April 1901), p. 267):

In Their Own Words
“One young girl of about seventeen years had an interesting time in accepting the Gospel. She was convinced of its truth immediately on hearing it, but her parents were determinedly opposed to her having anything to do with the Mormons. They coaxed, persuaded, threatened, ordered the girl to leave home, and brought all means within their power to bear on her; but she was immovable. She was willing to give up father, mother, brothers and sisters, and all other things for the Gospel. But, thanks be to the Lord she did not have to do this. She was baptized, bore a faithful testimony to her parents, and finally had the supreme satisfaction of seeing them follow in her steps. They are now faithful members and rejoicing in the Gospel. — Millennial Star 63:17”
