At the dedication of the Manti Temple, W. H. Folsom testified that he had previously received a promise of restored health and a longer life while attending the St. George Temple. He attributed the subsequent prolongation of his life and his recovery from illness to the fulfillment of that divine promise.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 50, No. 26, 25 June 1888, p. 406):
Brother W. H. Folsom said he was at the St. George Temple, and was very sick, and he was promised that he should live to see the Manti Temple dedicated, and he had lived to see it, and he felt to rejoice in the blessings of the Lord.
In Their Own Words
“Testified that the prolongation of his life and his restoration to health had been due to the blessing of God bestowed in response to a promise received in the St. George Temple. — Millennial Star 50:26”
