An unnamed man in Limerick, who had been afflicted with pains for many years, was healed instantly upon coming out of the water after his baptism by Elder Allen.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 15, No. 35, 27 August 1853, p. 573):
A man in Limerick, who had been afflicted with pains for many years, was healed instantly upon coming out of the water after his baptism by Elder Allen.
In Their Own Words
“Elder Allen gives me a lengthy account of this man’s being afflicted with pains for many years. On the morning of his baptism, he informed Elder Allen on the subject. Elder Allen says he told him “to have faith, and all would be right.” * * * I feel happy to say he went into the water with his pains, and came out without them! He is now willing to give his testimony to all, concerning the healing God. — Millennial Star 15:35”
