Susa Young Gates and Carol prayed for clear weather for an M.I.A. party at Saltair because the week had been rainy and gloomy. Their prayer was answered, and the day turned out to be beautiful.

In Their Own Words

“The weather was rainy and gloomy all the week, and I am not ashamed to confess that Carol and I were anxious enough over the success of our Saltair party to pray about the weather. A great many people fancy that God does not wish people to pray over trifles; but I have proven that He answers such prayers to me as often and as practically as those about the more serious and weighty affairs of life. The morning dawned cloudy and cool, but by nine o’clock the sun sailed from his cloudy sentinels and poured out upon us his golden approval of our happy plans.”
