An unnamed woman was suffering with a bad breast that was getting worse despite medical care. She could not lie down due to pain. After Henry George and Brother Goff prayed and anointed her, the pain was instantly rebuked, and she slept well and returned to work the next day.

Fuller account of this event (in the witness’s own words):

In the village of Long Whatton, was grievously afflicted a woman, named Sarah, who was grievously afflicted with a bad breast, which continued to get worse notwithstanding the efforts of the doctor. Some of the Saints that lived neighbours to her, advised her to send for me, I went and found her sitting up in bed. She could not lay down because of the pain. After prayer and anointing with oil, Brother Goff and myself laid hands upon her, and the pain was instantly rebuked. She had a good night's sleep and next morning went to her usual employment (glove stitching).
