A. S.'s vision of his life history after conversion

After being baptized and confirmed, A. S. sat on his cart while reading the 'Voice of Warning'. Upon reading a passage about the 'other sheep' of the Good Shepherd, he felt overwhelmed by the truth. He reports that his mind was immediately opened to see his life as a child on his mother's knee, and he reviewed the grand events, dangers, and temptations of his life, witnessing how the hand of God had led him to accept the Gospel.
In Their Own Words
“I was baptized on the 24th of February, 1884, and confirmed on the 2nd of March. On the 4th of March, I was sitting on my cart, reading the 'Voice of Warning,' and when I came to the part about the 'other sheep' of the Good Shepherd, I felt such a power of the Spirit of God that I could not read any more. At this moment I felt full of praise to our Heavenly Father, and I said aloud, 'It is the truth! It is the truth!' Immediately my mind was opened, and I saw myself a little child on my mother's knee, and the grand events of my life all passed before me—the dangers, temptations and victories, and how God's hand was always over me, to lead me to a knowledge of the truth; and now, having come to a perfect knowledge, I do thank Him and praise His name continually for His goodness to me; and I feel like telling all people, as Brother Nephi told me, that if they will go to Him in faith, they will receive a knowledge for themselves.”
