Professor Josiah Hickman walked the streets and secluded spots for nearly an entire night with a young man who was struggling to quit his tobacco habit and was on the verge of giving up. Hickman held to the faltering young man and prophesied that if he would fight the battle until morning, he would become master over the habit. The prophecy was fulfilled when morning arrived.

In Their Own Words

“The speaker reviewed an incident of tragic moment when lie walked the streets and secluded spots nearly all night with a young man who was trying to quit the tobacco habit, but was about to give up the effort, for the agony of quitting was too great. The speaker said that he held to the faltering young man and prophesied that if he would fight the battle till morning he would be master over the cursed habit. The morning came and the prophecy was fulfilled. — Millennial Star 83:52”
