President James B. Walkley testified that he had received personal manifestations to strengthen his testimony, leading to his conversion to the Church.

Fuller account of this event (as retold in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 75, No. 15 (April 10, 1913), p. 235):

President James B. Walkley said he had received personal manifestations to strengthen his testimony. He had been led to look for the truth, and, although he had investigated other religions, he knew not the feeling of perfect assurance until he embraced "Mormonism." He felt that the Lord had been very merciful to him, and he desired to live so that he might be worthy of the blessings he had received.

In Their Own Words

“President Walkley said he had received personal manifestations to strengthen his testimony. He had been led to look for the truth, and, although he had investigated other religions, he knew not the feeling of perfect assurance until he embraced "Mormonism." — Millennial Star 75:15”
