During a heavy gale in a district of Hawaii, the houses belonging to the Latter-day Saints were preserved from damage, while many of the houses belonging to their neighbors were leveled to the ground.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 33, No. 49, 5 December 1871, p. 781):
In a district of Hawaii, during a heavy gale, the houses belonging to the Latter-day Saints were preserved from damage, while many of the houses belonging to their neighbors were leveled to the ground.
In Their Own Words
“One of our brethren, a newly baptised member from Hawaii, bore testimony of a miraculous preservation of the houses belonging to our people in one of the districts of Hawaii, during a heavy gale, a short time ago. Strange to say our people remained without injury while many houses belonging to their neighbors were levelled to the ground. — Millennial Star 33:49”
