Moses Martin visited a young lady suffering from a cancer, which physicians had advised needed to be cut off. Upon her request, he anointed her and laid hands upon her, after which she was made instantly whole.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 10, No. 4, 15 February 1848, p. 59):
A young lady in Manchester, who had been afflicted with a cancer, which the physicians said must be cut off, requested me to administer to her; I did so, and she was made whole.
In Their Own Words
“I was called a few days to go and administer to a young lady who had a cancer, which the physicians tried their skill upon and declared it must be cut off. She came to me and wished me to anoint it and lay hands upon her. I did so and it was made instantly whole. — Millennial Star 10:4”
