Mary Ann Epeley's Testimony of Truth in Zion

Mary Ann Epeley, writing from Logan, Utah, to the London Conference, recounts her migration from England to Zion, her experience being kindly received by friends and strangers, and her unwavering testimony of the truth of the Gospel, which she states is stronger than ever despite trials.

Logan, Utah, Jan. 10, 1887. Dear Brother—I take the liberty of writing a few lines to you, as I feel it a duty and a pleasure to do so. I have been in Zion now over five years, and I can truly say that I have been kindly received by friends and strangers alike. I have had many blessings bestowed upon me, for which I feel to thank my Heavenly Father. I have had my trials, as all Saints have, but I have been enabled to overcome them through the help of the Lord. But, above all, I thank God that I still have a testimony of the truth of the work which I am engaged in. It is stronger today than ever it has been, and I trust that I may be able to retain it, and that it may be strengthened day by day; that I may be able to pass through all the trials and temptations which I may be called to pass through. I often think of the Saints in the London Conference, and I pray that they may be faithful and true to the covenants they have made with the Lord. I remain your sister in the Gospel, Mary Ann Epeley.
