An unnamed woman in the Liverpool Conference was extremely ill, and her doctor instructed her to 'think of nothing.' In response, she focused her thoughts entirely on the Elders, and she was subsequently healed.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 43, No. 7 (14 February 1881), p. 107):
A sister in the Liverpool Conference, who had been very ill, was told by her doctor to 'think of nothing.' She said she could not do that, but she would think of the Elders, and she was healed.
In Their Own Words
“A lady in this conference, who had been very sick, wrote to me that she had been told by her doctor she must absolutely think of nothing; “and so,” she added, “I just thought of you all the time.” — Millennial Star 43:7”
