An unnamed sister on the SS Wyoming was suffering from such severe seasickness that she doubted she would be able to continue her journey. After the brethren administered to her, she recovered instantly and was able to go on deck the next day, feeling strong and well.
Fuller account of this event (in the witness’s own words):
We have had a very pleasant time, but there was one case of sickness which might have been serious. We had one sister who was very sick with sea-sickness, and was so prostrated that she thought it doubtful if she would be able to continue the journey when we arrived at the end of the voyage. The brethren administered to her, and she felt the effect of the blessing almost immediately. She was up and on deck the next day, and has been feeling very strong and well ever since. We now return thanks to God for His preserving care over us, and for the kind interest taken in our welfare by the Lord our Father and our brethren.
