During a picnic of the Latter-day Saints at the River Styx, an unnamed sister was administered to by the laying on of hands for the restoration of her health. According to an enthusiastic correspondent, the sister felt better at once and enjoyed the usual sports of the day.
In Their Own Words
“A sister was then administered to, by the laying on of hands, for the restoration of her health, and, if we may believe an enthusiastic correspondent, who was invited to the picnic and has sent us a glowing account of it, she at once got better, and enjoyed herself the rest of the day, and these Canterbury Saints enjoyed themselves just as much as ordinary mortals. — Millennial Star 42:9”
