Sister Kitty Lloyd, a resident of the Grimsby branch, suffered from chronic rheumatism in her head that caused severe pain and confined her to bed. After President Francis M. Lyman attended the Grimsby conference on September 15, 1901, and shook hands with attendees, Sister Lloyd was immediately healed and remained free from the ailment for seven months.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 64, No. 38, September 18, 1902, page 603):
Sister Kitty Lloyd, of the Grimsby branch, had been suffering for some time with chronic rheumatism in her head, which caused her great pain and confined her to her bed. She was present at the Grimsby conference, held September 15, 1901, and when President Lyman shook hands with her she was immediately healed, and has been free from the ailment for seven months.
In Their Own Words
“After meeting, Presidént Lyman came down near the door, and as she passed him they shook hands. She forgot the headache from that moment, and did not think of it for some time, and then only to remember that not another pain had been felt since the time of shaking hands. Her faith had made her whole. Nearly seven months had passed when she related this, and during that time her health had been good, with no recurrence of the complaint. — Millennial Star 64:38”
