Sister Bartlett, suffering from rheumatism and sciatica for over a month and barely able to work, was administered to by Elder A. B. Case. Following the administration, she felt the pain leave her body and remained free of pain.
In Their Own Words
“I called at their residence the following morning and found Sister Bartlett in great pain. She was barely able to get around the house and do her work; had been in that condition for over a month. After talking to her for a time, I quoted the 14th verse of the 5th chapter of the epistle of James to her, when she expressed a desire to have me administer to her, which I did, and rebuked the disease in the name of Jesus Christ. I left them, and the following day received the following letter from Brother Bartlett: 'Dear Brother Case:—It is about my wife's health that I am writing, to let you know that she has not felt any pain since you administered to her. She told me that she could feel the pain leave her body. We are both very thankful to the Lord for His goodness to us.'”
