Healing of a Sister in Aintab, Syria

An unnamed female Saint in Aintab, Syria, suffered from a throat affliction where her neck was swollen, requiring a doctor's recommendation for surgery. She decided to seek the power of God through Elder Holdaway instead of proceeding with the medical operation. Elder Holdaway administered to her, and she felt the pain leave at the same moment. Within two days, she was completely cured, much to the confusion of her doctor.
In Their Own Words
“Following my first condition and belief, be it known to all that I have seen the power of God manifest in Him that led me into the Church of God—the church of men, as I have found out. He administered to me, and I was cured in the same moment. One of these cases is a serious one, and I am going to write about it. Once my throat was affected and my neck was swollen, and it troubled me so I went to a doctor. The doctor said I needed an operation. Oh, how afraid and sorry I was. By and by I began to think why should I go to a doctor and not to the Elder of the Church. I decided to go to Brother Holdaway. He asked if I had faith, and I said I believed that if the Lord wishes He can cure me by your prayers. He administered to me, and I felt the same moment that the pain went away. In one or two days everything was cured. The doctor to whom I went was a friend of mine, and he wanted to do all he could for me. He did not forget me, and he wanted to know why I did not come to him for the operation as I needed one. Soon he found me in a shop, and he asked me why I was cured. He did not know what to think.”
