Sidney Camm, a young boy, had been an invalid since birth, suffering from a complication of bowel trouble and a spinal complaint, rendering him unable to stand alone for four and a half years. After his father, Brother George Camm, heard a challenge regarding the power to work miracles, he had Elders James R. Glenn and J. Leo Bown administer to the child. Three days later, Sidney walked for the first time and subsequently developed a strong physique.
Fuller account of this event (as retold in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 68, No. 12 (March 22, 1906), p. 187):
The boy was afflicted with a complication of bowel trouble and spinal complaint, and for four and a half years he had been unable to stand alone. A number of physicians had treated him unsuccessfully, and all were of the opinion that his life could be prolonged but a few months. On November 5th the Elders were summoned, and the child was administered to by James R. Glenn and J. Leo Bown. Three days afterward he walked for the first time. To-day he possesses a strong physique, and enjoys life as other children — a living testimony that the Lord fulfills His promises.
