Elders reported at a Council of Elders in the Birmingham District that they had witnessed many miraculous healings of individuals even outside of the Church, which led those people to investigate the Latter-day Saint faith.
In Their Own Words
“We were happy to learn of those who were there, that the Work was generally on the increase in their respective fields of labor, and that there was a very sensible addition and strengthening to the faith of the Saints manifesting itself at the present time among them. Many miraculous healings had been wrought even outside of the Church, whereby many had been induced to investigate and learn for themselves whether the Work was of God or of men ; and that a goodly number were being baptized from time to time. — Millennial Star 27:2”
