Healing of a Paralyzed Girl by President Joseph Morrell and Companion

In the Southern States, President Joseph Morrell and his companion were approached by a man whose daughter was crippled and paralyzed in her arms, limbs, and back. The missionaries, feeling inadequate, spent two days in prayer and fasting before administering to the girl. After this time of spiritual preparation, they laid their hands on her, and the girl was instantly cured, stretching out her previously helpless arms.

President Joseph Morrell of the Southern States mission, writes: 'While laboring in the state of Virginia, a man came to us and asked if we would go and administer to his daughter, who was a cripple. She had been paralyzed in her arms, limbs, and back for some time. We felt our own weakness and inability to do anything of ourselves, so we spent two days in fasting and prayer, that we might have the power of God with us. We then went to the house, and after talking to the family, we administered to the girl. The instant that their hands were laid upon the sick girl’s head they felt that a miracle was indeed performed, and when the sealing was finished the young woman stretched out her long helpless arms, and gave God the glory for the wonderful cure that was effected.'
