Elder Thergood found Mrs. Breadford in great distress and unable to move. After he and his companion administered to her, she was able to eat and move about, and was found doing well upon his return visit.

In Their Own Words

“On November 21, I visited a Mrs. Breadford and found her helpless. She was sitting in a chair and appeared to be much distressed. I told her we were Elders of the Church and we would anoint with oil. She asked me to pray for her. I told her I would if she had the authority to officiate in the name of the Lord. As soon as the ordinance was performed she got up and walked about the room. When I returned she was eating her dinner. I stayed with her for some time and when I left she was feeling well.”
