Healing Manifestation of the Chief’s Wife among the Lamanites

While Elder Tenney was preaching to the Lamanites in Arizona, he blessed the wife of the chief. While she was speaking to the congregation, a light or power from above rested on her head and shoulders for about five minutes, and she appeared as if riveted to the ground while she spoke.

Fuller account of this event (as retold in The Latter-day Saints' Millennial Star, Vol. 50, No. 16, April 16, 1888, p. 247):

It so happened that the chief's wife was present. Brother Tenney after he had blessed her, went out to where the Indians were seated on the ground, and commenced to preach. No sooner had he finished, than the chief's wife arose, and a light from above rested on her head and flowed on to her shoulders, and rested there until she had finished her remarks, which occupied the space of about five minutes. She seemed to be riveted to the ground during the time of her speech.
