A little girl was brought to the verge of death by a severe illness. Physicians and friends lost hope for her, but she possessed a firm faith in the principle of healing through the ordinances of the Church. She was miraculously restored by God's blessing through the administration of the Elders and her own prayers.
Fuller account of this event (in the witness’s own words):
Last spring, we saw a little girl, who had just before been brought to the verge of the grave by a terrible illness. Doctors and friends gave no hope of her recovery, but the child had been taught the principle of faith in the ordinances of the Church for the healing of the sick. Her faith that God would heal her was perfect, and she never wavered in it. She was miraculously restored by the blessing of God, through the administrations of the Elders and her own prayers.
