During a pioneer trek, a dog frightened an ox team, causing a stampede. Jimmie Stone and Uncle Ned were thrown from their ponies and trampled by the oxen. They were found unconscious and bleeding, but were healed through faith and priesthood administration.

In Their Own Words

“They found Jimmie quite unconscious, with blood streaming from his face. Uncle Ned, quite dazed, was bending over him. Lifting the lads in their arms, grandpa and grandma carried them to the stream of water and bathed their wounds. By faith and administration they were quickly healed. — The Young Woman's Journal 24:10”
