An unnamed girl in Pendlebury, whose hand and arm were described as 'nothing but skin and bone' and who was previously unable to move them, was healed. The Elder, while visiting the family, administered to the child, and she was later seen moving her arm, much to the amazement of the family.
In Their Own Words
“I took the child in my arms and administered to it in the name of the Lord. The family, with the exception of the man of this family, with whom I had a long talk, expressed their respect for the principles of the Gospel, and I have high hopes of the family joining at no distant day. At the same time, I was joined by two, from Pendlebury. So you see that the work of the Lord is onward. I was invited to see the same family again, and I was pleased to see the same child, and the child could move its arm. Weeks before this, the hand and arm were nothing but skin and bone, and could not be moved.”
