George Banes, a non-member, had a lame arm so severe he could scarcely feed himself. After Henry George laid hands on him and prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, he was healed and able to work as a chairmaker. He was baptized shortly thereafter.

In Their Own Words

“On the 8th of July, a man, not a member of our church, called George Banes, residing at Hegworth, having a lame arm, so that he could scarcely feed himself, I laid hands on him and prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, and he was healed so that he could follow his trade, being a chairmaker and bottomer. On the 17th he was baptized. — Millennial Star 11:18”
