While traveling across the desert on a mission to California to print the Book of Mormon in Hawaiian, F. W. Wilk was stung by a large green scorpion. He suffered from the sting and a lack of water, but recognized that the hand of the Almighty was extended for his preservation.
In Their Own Words
“While crossing the desert, I was stung by a green scorpion, one of the largess class. Suffered considerable for want of water. Can realize that the hand of the Almighty has been extended for my preservation in many places and in many ways. — Millennial Star 18:6”
