Two missionaries in Gamberriar were arrested and charged with treason, horse theft, and other crimes. During the trial, one of the missionaries began his defense before the judge. As he spoke, the Holy Spirit rested upon him, causing his face to turn white and allowing him to speak with such power and authority that the entire court—including accusers and a crowd of men—sat in complete silence for one hour. The judge subsequently acquitted them, stating they were men of honor.
Fuller account of this event (in the witness’s own words):
He commenced on the treaty between England and America; he had not spoken but a few minutes when the Holy Spirit rested on him in such a way as I had never seen before. His face was very white, and he spoke with great power and authority. The judge looked amazed. The house and yard were full of men who were all silent for one hour. The judge then said, 'I have heard enough; you are men of honor, and I acquit you.'

His face was very white, and he spoke with great power and authority. The judge looked amazed. The house and yard were full of men who were all silent for one hour. — Millennial Star 33:35”
