Elder Louis Howells reports on his missionary experiences in South Wales, noting the hostility and disbelief he faces regarding the restoration of the Priesthood and the ancient gifts of the Gospel. He relates the account of the angel Gabriel appearing to Zacharias in Luke 1, emphasizing how the rejection of signs and the Priesthood is a modern error. He testifies that he personally has experienced the blessings of the Gospel and that his Heavenly Father has borne witness to him through spiritual signs, confirming his knowledge of the restored Gospel's truth.

In Their Own Words

“I can testify that the blessings uf God are enjoyed by the Saints from my own experience, and I am not ashamed of the Gospel as preached by the Latter-day Saints, for it is“ the power of God unto salvation ;” I bear my testimony and I do know for I have obeyed this doctrine of my own free will and choice ; because of this my heavenly Father hath borne witness to me through these signs, and I know that he is faithful and that his promises hold good to all who seek his face. — Millennial Star 40:10”
