Elder Loosli was arrested while preaching with Jabez Woodard in Switzerland. Loosli successfully drew the attention of the mob and officers to himself, which allowed Woodard to escape. Loosli was imprisoned overnight, but later wrote that his mind was free despite his physical confinement.
In Their Own Words
“One of our Elders (brother Loosli) was arrested, the other day, while he was preaching by my side. I put my hat on, expecting that we should both pass one night at least in prison; but brother L., with the self-possession of a hero, contrived to draw all the attention of the mob and officers on himself, and gave me the signal to walk away. This saved me. — Millennial Star 21:16”
