Elder Henry Harris, while laboring as a missionary in Bristol, suffered from inflammatory rheumatism and an ailment affecting his eyes. Through his faith and the administration of the Elders, he experienced a notable recovery, regaining strength in his eyes and reporting significant improvement in his health, which allowed him to continue his missionary service.
Fuller account of this event (in the witness’s own words):
In regard to the health of Elder Henry Harris, who has been ailing ever since his arrival here, I am very thankful to be able to say that he is very much better. The inflammatory rheumatism has almost left his system, and his eyes are getting stronger. He has great faith that he will be able to remain in England and fulfill his mission, and has said it would be a great disappointment to him should anything happen to prevent him from so doing.
