Upon arriving in Halifax, Elder C. D. Evans had a distinct spiritual impression that God had a prepared people in that town who would accept the Gospel. Following this manifestation, he baptized four individuals and observed many others investigating the message.

In Their Own Words

“The moment my feet touched the soil of Halifax, the Spirit of the Lord indicated to me that God had a people here who would shortly receive the Gospel. I so expressed myself to the Saints here. Since that time, four have been baptized, and others are investigating. Several more have expressed themselves favorably, and are diligently investigating. The work is moving slowly but surely, and I feel that there is a good work to be done in this place.”
