During a three-day conference in Melbourne, Australia, in October 1865, the gathered Saints and many strangers experienced such a powerful outpouring of the Spirit of God that those present confessed they would never forget it, characterizing the event as a pentecostal feast.

In Their Own Words

“On the 14th, 15th and 16th days of October 1865, a Conference was held here, which all the Saints in this place attended, as did also many strangers, and the Spirit of God was upon us in so great a degree, that strangers present confessed that they never could forget it. It was indeed to the Saints a pentecostal feast, who realized in a signal manner the blessings promised to the believer. — Millennial Star 28:19”
