In May 1901, Elder Andrew E. Anderson received a blessing from B. H. Roberts, who prophesied he would find people prepared by dreams and visions. While serving in the Vermland branch, Sweden, Anderson and Elder Peter Sundwall, Jr. visited a family. Upon arrival, the wife exclaimed that she had seen these two men in a vision eighteen months prior. The husband, afflicted with rheumatism, was healed after baptism and priesthood administration.

In Their Own Words

“In the month of May, 1901, I had the privilege of receiving a blessing under the hands of President B. H. Roberts, who, in the course of his remarks, prophesied that I should be instrumental in bringing into the Church some who had been prepared by dreams and visions to receive the Gospel. I was then laboring in the Vermland branch, Sweden, in company with Elder Peter Sundwall, Jr. We were traveling without purse or scrip, and were directed by the Spirit to visit a certain family living in the country. As soon as she entered the home and saw us there, she clapped her hands together and exclaimed: “Glory be to God! Here are the two men that I saw in a vision while I slept, eighteen months ago.” Then she told us we were just as she had seen us in her dream, the older man dark complexioned, the younger one light. We were received with open arms, and the family listened with great interest to our message. The husband was suffering from a severe attack of rheumatism, and was unable to walk without the aid of crutches. He was baptized, and after we had administered to him by the laying on of hands, he was completely healed, and was able to walk to the meeting house, a distance of several miles, without his crutches, to the great astonishment of his neighbors.”
