Elder Edward Bunker served as captain for a hand-cart company traveling toward Utah. During the journey, the company was protected from being molested by wolves or other threats, and the writer testifies that the Holy Spirit aided Bunker in his leadership throughout the entire trip.

In Their Own Words

“We travel together in peace and harmony, and when we camp, are not molested by wolves in sheep's clothing. Elder Bunker has proved himself a father to this people, and I know that the Holy Spirit has been with and aided him in leading them all the time. — Millennial Star 18:48”
