While in Manchester, England, Wilford Woodruff was called to visit a woman possessed by a devil, which required several persons to restrain her from self-destruction. After hands were laid upon her, the devil was subject to the power of God and departed, and she was clothed in her right mind.
In Their Own Words
“While there I was called upon to visit a woman that was possessed with the devil in such a manner that it required several persons to hold her from destroying herself. I went to the house and found her in the midst of a fit. I laid hands upon her and rebuked the devil. The spirit left her for a moment, but returned again. I laid hands upon her again and commanded the devil in the name of Jesus Christ to depart out of her. The devil was subject unto the power of God and departed out of her, and she was clothed in her right mind, and next day attended meeting and all felt to give the glory to God.”
