Brother Edward Stevenson, speaking at a Y.L.M.I.A. conference, testified that women who exercise their faith and anoint their children with oil when the husband is not present will see the destroyer pass by.
Fuller account of this event (the complete account as preserved in The Young Woman's Journal, vol. 6 no. 9 (June 1895), p. 427):
Brother Edward Stevenson said that he had known of many cases where the husband was away, and the wife, having faith, had anointed her children with oil, and the destroyer had passed by them.
In Their Own Words
“Sisters, exercise your faith; anoint your children when they are sick, if your husband is not present, and the destroyer will pass by. — The Young Woman's Journal 6:9”
