George Hunter reports baptizing twelve individuals into the Church in Coventry, including a man who had previously expressed opposition by saying he would rather eat the food he had prepared for the Elders himself than let them eat it. Additionally, four more people were baptized in the Loxley Branch.

In Their Own Words

“Saturday evening, 4th instant, I baptized twelve persons. That man that said if the Elders would not come to his house and eat the food he had prepared for them, that he would sit up at nights himself and eat it, was the first of the twelve that were baptized. I have been round visiting a few of the Branches. Loxley Branch added four while I was there. — Millennial Star 30:3”
