Alice Hutton, a member of the Methodist church in Loughborough, had a dream that prompted her to visit the missionaries to discuss the Gospel. Despite anticipating the loss of her friends and social standing, she accepted the truth and was baptized on March 13, 1894.
In Their Own Words
“On March 13 Alice Hutton was baptized. She had been a prominent member in the Methodist church but in a dream had been prompted to visit the Elders and talk with them on the Gospel. Though she saw that all her old friends would forsake her and that her name would be cast out for evil she did not falter, but accepted the truth. She is now aiding the Elders in spreading the truth in the hopes that her former friends may receive of the same light in the possession of which she now rejoices. — Millennial Star 56:17”
