While serving as a missionary, Elder Henry B. Eyring and his companion, Elder Geddes, were called to a base hospital to administer to a young girl who had been struck by a speeding car. The impact had thrown her into a curb, resulting in a crushed skull. Doctors had informed the parents that the girl was unlikely to survive. Following the administration by the two missionaries, the girl experienced a recovery that defied the medical prognosis provided by the doctors.
