Charles A. Callis — Providential Provision of Clothing
Contributed by
Bibliography Research
During his extensive service as the President of the Southern States Mission and later as an Apostle, Callis experienced a recurring instance of 'remarkable providence' regarding his physical needs. His secretary noted that as regularly as his hat would wear out, he would receive a brand new hat as a gift from a humble, often anonymous member of the Church in the Southern States. This consistent, unsolicited provision was viewed by those close to him as a sign of the Lord's sustained support for His servant.
