Bibliography Research
Seth Johnson suffered for twenty years with a severe condition known as 'granulated eyelids,' which caused his eyes to be extremely sensitive to light and often hindered his ability to work or read. According to the family history submitted by Colette J. Liddell, Seth received a priesthood blessing in which he was promised that if he remained faithful in his pioneer callings in the Panguitch and Hillsdale area, his sight would be restored. The healing occurred gradually but completely. In his later years, Seth was widely known in the community for his ability to read the scriptures and perform his duties as a Patriarch without the aid of glasses, a recovery he and his family documented as a direct miracle from the Lord.
