Esther Almeria Johnson Cram — Miraculous Healing of Blindness

During her childhood in Santaquin, Utah, Esther suffered for seven years from a severe affliction of 'sore eyes' (granulated eyelids) that left her nearly blind and in constant pain. Her father, Benjamin F. Johnson, eventually took her to Salt Lake City to seek a blessing from President Brigham Young. President Young administered to her, placing his hands on her head and promising her that her eyes would be healed and her sight restored. Following this administration, her eyes began to improve immediately. She regained full use of her vision, a recovery she and her family attributed to the power of the Priesthood blessing.
