Bibliography Research
In the 'History of Kanab' and 'History of Kane County', Robinson records the resettlement of Kanab under Levi Stewart. Despite the extreme isolation and the threat of raids, the settlers reported multiple instances of 'divine watchcare.' One specific instance involved a group of men being prompted by the Holy Ghost to return to the fort just before a potential ambush, avoiding a conflict that would have decimated the small colony during its most vulnerable period.
